What Is Google Fi ( Project Fi )

So i recently converted my Google Voice number over to a Fi number when i ordered a Moto X4 Android One device and signed up for Project Fi. I suddenly discovered just how much data i actually use and how it affects my spending on mobile service. So far with proper management i have used 0.99GB with 6 days remaining. That is possible because i have home Wi-Fi and rely on it when im at home rather network data which i rely on when im on gone from home.

Customer service i have not had to deal with yet as i havent had a reason to call in for questions or service issues. Sad in a way as i cant infor you all how the customer service is but i can say that is a good thing seeing as for the services to just work with no issues to have you call in is a good thing. What i can say is customer reps are easily accessible as you can call in or chat with a rep from the Project Fi app.

The service is more than what i expected. I was thinking that cause it uses 3 networks to depend on for signal service that it would be on par but it exceeded my expectations. Speeds are fast no matter where i go but beyond just speeds the load of data transfer is flawless. Project Fi uses Sprint, T-Mobile, & US Cellular for its customers connection. With those carriers backing you for connection to the network you are covered.

The billing process is a bit confusing to some as basically you pay $20.00 which is called Fi Basics ( Unlimited Talk & Text ) and then your charged $10.00 per Gigabyte used but billing stops at $60.00 which is 6GB and your not charged for data used beyond that however you are slowed down when you reach 15GB. They call it Bill Protection which for single line is $60 for a Family Plan ( 2 lines or more ) its $150.00 in data charges only ( do not include Fi Basics or Device Payment ). So in simpler form without device charges your basically paying $80.00 for unlimited talk text and data and $150.00 for family plan. Some would say thats insane however compare to Verizon who charges $80.00 single line unlimited and your on 1 carrier as Project Fi you have 3 carriers at your disposal.

In all there alot of good benefits for choosing Project Fi which will be soon renamed to Google Fi. Reliable network coverage and options of 3 major carriers to switch between to have the best connection where you are. Great customer service. Good options for devices to use on their services. If your interested id say give them a try as you wont be disappointed in my opinion. Thanks for reading
